The spiritual welfare of individuals under the care of LVBH staff is an agreed approach to pursuing care for the whole person. The aim of pastoral care in the long-term care setting is undeniably to enhance and maintain soul care for individuals who have affirmed, confirmed, and stated faith in chosen faith communities.
As a faith-based continuing care retirement community, LVBH endeavors to honor and respect the practices of faith communities represented among residents. A program of worship and study seeks to incorporate local congregational leadership for community spiritual enhancement. Individual worship experiences planned by congregational leaders are always primary elements, which aim at the spiritual well being of individuals.

(Every effort should be made to honor the current Code of Ministerial Ethics published for ordained ministers in the Church of the Brethren.)
