News and Events
Benevolent care is a promise that is central to our mission; keeping this promise is the Good Samaritan Fund. Throughout the year, our benevolent care fund assists residents in need of support.
Annually, our benevolent care costs over $1.5M. It is only through the generosity of donors that we are able to support this fund and provide the necessary care and resources these residents require. Donors give to this fund and support our events because they want to ensure this ministry continues. If you would like to help us continue our mission, please consider attending any one or all six of these upcoming events:

We are thrilled to share pictures of our past fundraising events with you. Each year three main events take the stage to provide an avenue for people to help support the Home’s Good Samaritan Fund.
On Saturday May 20 Londonderry Village held its second annual Mother’s Day Celebration and Butterfly Release. The event began with a brief celebration program featuring Londonderry Village President, Jeff Shireman; an inspirational reading by resident Linda Sprandel; and an invocation and inspirational message by Londonderry Village Chaplain Mary Eller. Adding to the commemoration were various musical selections played by violinist, Jenny Li.
Following the program participants were able to release their butterflies recognizing those being honored and remembered. The day hosted slightly over 180 attendees with over 250 butterflies released at the event.
Many thanks to our Butterfly Celebration Sponsor Arthur Funk and Sons, Inc., our Business Friend Sponsors: Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. and Shope Gardens Construction, Inc. and to all who participated in this event. Proceeds from this event support Londonderry Village’s Good Samaritan Fund for benevolent care. We thank you.
